Jim Reeves

"Gentleman" Jim Reeves was known to have one of the smoothest voices in the history of Country Music. He was a true practitioner of The Nashville Sound and would continue to have records appear on the country charts years after his death.

Jim Reeves died July 31, 1964 when his private plane crashed near Brentwood TN while trying to avoid the effects of a serious storm. He was later inducted in to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1967, and remains a true legend of country music.
